We kept watching knowledge walk out the door.
Rinto was founded by Chris Francis, Adam Zrodlowski and Raf Mostert. All three of us have worked with people who were exceptionally good at their jobs. The engineer who could hear a problem before the sensors picked it up. The analyst who knew which number not to trust. The person everyone checked with before making a call.
We have also seen what happens when they leave. There is a month of notice. A handover document. A goodbye lunch. Then the team spends the next year working out what that person already knew.
We think that is a waste. We also think it does not have to happen. What someone learns over a career belongs to them. It should also be something they can pass on properly when they go.
That is what we are building. Rinto makes knowledge transfer something that actually happens. It sits down with your expert. It asks the questions a good successor would ask. Then it turns the answers into something the next person can use.

Chris Francis
Chris has built software in places where the stakes are real. Secure government environments. Institutions that keep an eye on the Dutch financial system. He was working on machine learning and on getting computers to handle human language well before either was fashionable. Back when progress meant months of slow unglamorous work.
That left him with little patience for tools that look impressive and help nobody. He wants Rinto to be something people reach for in their first week. And something they trust with what they know in their last. He thinks best while moving. Usually on a mountain trail or on the water. Steady pace and no rush.

Adam Zrodlowski
Adam spent his career in energy across operations, commercial teams and sales. It is an industry that runs on people who know things the manual never captured. He has seen what one retirement can cost a company. And how rarely anyone plans for it while there is still time.
He is the reason Rinto reaches the companies that need it instead of staying a good idea between three founders. He is also a runner. Long distances teach you something that applies here too. Results come from what you do consistently. Not from one big effort.

Raf Mostert
Raf did his PhD at Leiden teaching machines to read the night sky. His models sorted through millions of radio galaxies that no team of people could ever look at by hand. They found black hole remnants and giant radio sources along the way. He has been building vision AI ever since.
He joined because the problem is close to the one he already likes solving. A huge amount of messy input with something valuable buried in it. He climbs too. Indoors at home since the Netherlands is short on mountains. On real rock when he can travel. Most of climbing is reading what is in front of you before you commit to a move.
